This has been a very difficult and bittersweet year for our family and Freddie Bustria came into our lives at just the right time. His kindness, knowledge and skills, and work ethic are appreciated beyond measure. He helped my sister and me sell our mother’s condominium in La Mesa. She lived independently in this home for over thirty years and was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. At age 97, we had to move her to memory care and needed to sell her home quickly for financial reasons. Freddie came highly recommended from a good friend after a rather futile search for the right relator. The condominium was on a reverse mortgage for many years and our friend said he would do a good job for us. From the start, we felt very comfortable with Freddie. He sincerely cares about his clients and he showed great empathy for what we were going through. He got the process started quickly and carefully guided us from start to closing. He knows what works, is resourceful, and has a great eye for detail. He found the just the right buyer. Freddie was an excellent communicator throughout the process. We were informed about each showing and feedback was shared from perspective buyers. No one realized how difficult it would be to work with the lender on this mortgage. Some days he was on hold with them for over 3 hours but he persisted. Because the lender was so slow responding, closing took about a month longer than expected but Freddie made it happen. Even during this slow processing time, he kept us informed at least weekly. Our goal was to ‘break even’ and Freddie made that happen. The negotiations were detailed and long but he made the process ‘doable’ for us. He patiently explained everything to us and answered all of our many questions.
